BA boosts London to San Diego route

British Airways has announced it's enhancing services between San Diego and London, increasing the frequency from one flight per day to two.


Since its inception in 2011, the flights between San Diego International Airport and London have facilitated approximately 2 million travelers journeying between San Diego and Europe, as reported by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. Notably, the market demand for this route has surged by 50% from 2019 to 2023, according to the authority.


While London serves as the primary destination for approximately 60% of passengers on this route, the remaining 40% utilize the flights for connections to various other cities. These include Edinburgh, Dublin, Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Cairo, Rome, and Mumbai, as highlighted by airport authority officials. The additional daily seasonal flight will operate until 25th October. 2024.
